  1. Launch PowerPoint again after the crashing.
  2. Find the rescued PPTX file.

4. Restore Deleted PowerPoint File by Using Temporary Folder

Perform the following steps to recover deleted PowerPoint file from the temporary folder:

  1. Go to Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
  2. Enter open $TMPDIR and press Return.
  3. Select the folder name TemporaryItems.
  4. Search for the deleted PowerPoint file.
  5. Restore the file. Change the extension from .TMP to .PPTX.
